A practical approach to tailoring

Founded in 2021, the studio was built around the idea that good tailoring should respect the original garment while making it more useful. That approach still shapes every consultation and every finished piece.

Marta Novak established Alteration Station to focus on thoughtful garment remodelling and clothing alterations. The studio serves customers who want a better fit, a refreshed look, or a more sustainable way to keep clothing in use.

Many projects begin with a fitting or a detailed review of the garment, followed by a redesign discussion and a written scope. This helps keep expectations clear before the work begins.

For upcycling projects, the available fabric, condition, and structure of the original piece guide what is possible. We plan each step carefully so the result stays realistic and wearable.
